Post-infusion "flu"
This time the "flu" after the bone-strengthening infusion isn't quite as bad. At least so far!
MEDICAL JOURNEYLIFE JOURNEY

Post-rain bee on post-infusion day.
Another quick update:
I had the bone-strengthening infusion Wednesday afternoon. Today is Friday, which is considered Day 3. Which is often the roughest day after a medical procedure.
I've had aching joints—with that pain starting a few hours after the infusion. It's so weird that the aches move around. They might be in the first joint in each of my toes. And then my elbows. And then my wrists. And then somewhere else.
Add a headache. And a bit of a stomachache.
Weirder is what feels like bee stings. I'm guessing it's nerves somehow being affected. The afternoon after the infusion I was putting dinner together from the take-away dishes I got when my infusion-driver friend took me to a favorite local restaurant, and I thought some kind of insect had stung my leg. But I couldn't find anything there. No bug or bug bite.
Later I felt the same thing in a different place on my other leg. And later I felt it on my arm. Just like a sweat bee sting. I think it happened last infusion, too, but I didn't put it together then. I'm feeling that sting every now and then on different parts of my skin. But it's getting less often.
I was most miserable for a few hours this afternoon and seem to be improving since then. General feel-bad, nothing specific beyond the joint aches and headache and a bit of a stomachache.
It's July 3rd. I have no Independence Day plans. Which is fine with me. I'm happy to celebrate or have a "normal" day on holidays. I don't really have preferences.
It feels odd for this to be the 250th birthday of our country. It felt like a much bigger deal in 1976 when my class graduated from high school. Which means this year would be our 50th reunion if we had one.
It's incomprehensible to me that that was FIFTY years ago!! I never thought of what my life might be like in 50 years. But here I am...
Anyhow, Happy Independence Day to you and yours! And to our country. May we all fulfill the best we can bring to our world at this point in time.
