Just what I expected

My nurse eval today went exactly as I expected

MEDICAL JOURNEY

Here's the quick answer:

I was right in my prediction. Everything is okay: my BP, my pulse, my oxygen (both sitting still and walking), my temp. My lungs sound clear and my heart sounds good.

This nurse was very thorough. She spent a lot of time listening to my lungs and heart. Twice.

She dug into my symptoms more than anyone else has. She asked lots of questions.

I appreciate her thoroughness. She made sure that she wasn't missing anything.

I feel sure she didn't.

I feel lots better today overall. I think not taking Ibrance is helping. And taking steroids is helping.

I see my oncologist in just under two weeks. And I hope to hear from the pulmonology office soon. No call from them today, so I called them when I got home. But their office closes at 11:30 on Fridays! Sigh. Maybe next week I can at least get an appointment on my calendar.

Navigating medical care can be tough. And I'm not not even close to going through what some families have to deal with, especially with children who have complex medical cases. They need full-time administrative assistants to work their way through the medical maze. I'm not dealing with anything nearly that tough.

I'll sign off saying I'm grateful that I'm (apparently) not dealing with anything too big or bad. Well, beyond the cancer itself.

I'm grateful for a sunny, warm, springish day with flowers budding. And for a cat in my lap. And for plenty of free time for napping.

All in all it's a good day.

Thank you for the many, many prayers and good vibes. Y'all help me in ways beyond what any of us can see.
