Bullet point update
These blog posts are starting to feel like assignments hanging over my head. So I'm trying for the quickest fulfillment and a passing grade.

I know some friends and family are interested in how I'm doing so I make myself do these updates. It's hard sometimes. So here's a bullet list:
Pulmonology: I can't tolerate Symbicort. I used the inhaler two days and my mouth felt raw and all of my joints hurt. I felt terrible so I quit using it, and yes in a few days I felt a LOT better. I haven't shared this info with my pulmonologist because his office is not timely in taking care of things. His office still hadn't responded to an antacid refill request from my pharmacy six days later so I messaged my oncologist through the portal and asked her to take over that prescription. She did. I'll wait and talk with my pulmonologist about Symbicort at my October appointment.
Sleep study: I'll be doing a home sleep study in the next month. I saw the sleep specialist yesterday and chose the home study to get more insight before maybe trying the overnight in-office study. He commented that my lung function test results are odd. I'll be asking the pulmonoligist more about that.
Coming up: Bone-strengthening infusion next Thursday. A friend is driving me. I didn't feel quite as bad after the last one so I'm hoping that trend continues.
How it's going: I have good days and not-so-good days. I went through a few rough ones but turned the corner (at least for a bit). I have the next scan on October 26th. My sister is coming for that. I look forward to spending time with her.
Grouchy times: This afternoon is one of those!
These photos: I took the top photo from the exam room window yesterday. This building has incredible views. It's the tower by Memorial Hospital. That's Lookout Mountain you see in the top photo. It was raining at High Point. If you zoom you can see it. The bottom photos are from the other side of the building in the hall on my way out.
